NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming)

NLP is the study of how we think, perceive and process the world around us, how we replay memories in our mind and create our own internal world. All of our experiences are created and recreated in memory through our five senses.

Since these remembered events are not happening in the present moment, they are considered hypnotic states of mind (trances).

So if we don’t like what we have created, it’s within us to change our world through changing our memories of things past.

We do this by changing how we represent in our minds events that have happened in our lives . . . changing our internal language (the words we use when we talk to ourselves), the pictures we see and movies we replay in our mind’s eye, the sounds, sensations, inner feelings, tastes and smells that we hold in memory.

We go to each negative memory and release the emotional charge before reimprinting with a happy, positive memory.

Drawing: “All I feel is free!”In this instance, we replaced a series of traumatic teenage memories with the sounds and  sensations of a blissful time in her life when she felt in control.

That is how we cause massive shifts to occur in a person’s life.
Now, I’ll have an old emotion for a second. Then I imagine myself jumping on the horse. And then I’m laughing. And all I feel is free.” ~ Sarah

How lucky am I to do such wonderful, life-changing work?
